When I started with Myers & Sons Construction in 2012, it was my first experience in the Construction industry. I relied heavily on AGC to help guide me through certain situations with the unions. Over the past 10 years, AGC has provided me a sounding board as well as an opportunity to give back to the industry, with what I have learned through committees and boards such as the UCC and HR Forum. To help signatory contractors stay safe while in compliance, the AGC Labor Relations Team compared all Master Labor Agreements (MLAs) against CDC guidelines to ensure that contractors understood both sets of procedures.
The team also identified areas where Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) might be needed to address select bargaining.
