Soil Sampling
In this 2-hour lesson, we will cover sampling soil as it is described in ASTM D75, along with several methods and tools used to sample soil. Various soil-sampling methods are discussed – both beneath the surface and above the surface, such as sampling correctly from a stockpile. The student will also gain a greater understanding of drilling operations, split-barrel sampling, ring sampling, and pitcher sampling, among other aspects.
