Density of Soils/The Nuclear Gauge Part 1
Density and compaction are concerns on every regulated project in the world. In this 2-hour study, we look closely at the science behind material compaction, understanding the process of densification and a zero air voids state.
Density and compaction are concerns on every regulated project in the world. In this 2-hour study, we look closely at the science behind material compaction, understanding the process of densification and a zero air voids state. Additionally, we review the various heavy construction equipment used on many commercial sites for grading and achieving satisfactory compaction. To finish off the lesson, we begin looking at the nuclear gauge and how it actually works to detect compaction, moisture, and give accurate readings from the nuclear level.
