Build California loves to engage with students! One of the ways we do this is by participating in events like the Construction Industry Education Foundation (CIEF) North Valley Trades Day. Build California had a booth alongside industry professionals such as Teichert, Shimmick, Brown Construction, and many others. The event was a success, with nearly 400 students in attendance. Many of them signed up to join our Build California mailing list, which gives students access to more information about beginning a career in the construction industry. One of our Build California Ambassadors, AJ from Chico State, came out to inspire and talk to students about his experience as a construction management student at Chico State. Our ambassadors are a clear representation of what is possible in our industry. By sharing their career journeys as tradespeople, or the management side of our industry, they help us educate students about all the different opportunities in the construction industry.
Our Build California Ambassador program is made up of over 60 professionals from the construction industry who we activate across the state to engage and educate the next generation of builders.
