May’s Government Affairs Update

AGC of California's latest government affairs news and updates.

The contractor’s voice in Sacramento

As AGC of California’s 2023 Legislative Summit came to a close on the floor of the Assembly, AGC of California members were able to reflect on two days of meetings with California’s top political leadership. Recently announced gubernatorial candidate, Lt. Gov. Eleni Kounalakis, opened the summit before AGC of California members embarked on over 30 meetings with key legislative offices.

AGC of California advocated for legislation addressing California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) streamlining, project delivery, infrastructure funding and construction safety, among others. During the event, contractors were able to strengthen relationships with officials that represent their regions, inviting them on job walks and office visits, and further educating a new generation of legislators on the needs and complexities of California’s construction industry. Help grow contractor’s political might

Strengthen the political might of the California contractor by participating in AGC of California’s most impactful political fundraiser of the year. On July 22 & 23, join AGC of California leadership in Truckee during the PGA Barracuda Championship, and take part in a political fundraiser designed to grow the AGC PAC, and contractor’s political voice, to even greater levels.
