Tom Holsman, the chief executive officer of the AGC of California, issued the following statement today in response to the
“Future Mobility in California” report issued by TRIP on California’s roadways.
“The report issued by TRIP clearly demonstrates that transportation funding at the National and State level is needed to support California’s roadways in order to keep our transportation infrastructure system from failing. Securing short and long-term funding sources for our streets, roads and highways will ensure our continued goods movement system, it will also put unemployed construction workers to work. With California’s construction unemployment at nearly 19%, transportation funding would help create jobs, which in turn will help move the state’s economy forward.”
