5 - 6 PM ~ Economic Trends & "The First 100 Days of The Trump Presidency"
Speaker: Matthew Fienup, California Lutheran University
Following the election shocker of last November, economic forecasters and markets have rendered a generally positive verdict about the prospect of the new Administration in Washington. In contrast, the Center for Economic Research and Forecasting (CERF) at California Lutheran University has forecast much of the same--that is, the slow, plodding growth which has been the ignature of eight years of noticeably weak economic recovery. The question remains, which verdict will prove more accurate? CERF Director Matthew Fienup will provide a broad overview of economic trends and changes in the Nation, the State and the Region following the first three months of the Trump presidency.
