AGC of California Looks to the Future

As AGC of California nears its 100th year of serving the state’s construction industry, we are taking time to reflect on past successes as well as looking to the future. So much has changed for our industry in the last 98 years, and we must grow and adapt to best serve our members now and into the future.

Recently, we’ve implemented organizational changes to advance our mission. Those changes include enhancing our Advocacy and Industrial Relations as well as Communications teams. By strengthening those core services, we can better represent you—our members—and ensure you are receiving the timely and relevant support you need from AGC.

As we look to the future, we have identified new ways to strengthen our services on behalf of our members. These exciting changes include

  • Enhancing and expanding the scope of the Construction Education Foundation
The Construction Education Foundation (CEF) is our vehicle to advance workforce development in the construction industry. We are excited to announce that the Construction Leadership Council and Professional and Industry Development will now live under the umbrella of CEF, incorporating the Training and Education and Safety and Health. Under this new structure, we can provide additional resources and support for our members.

  • Delivering a regionalized, member-centric services
We are reassessing the structure and support of our regional services to better suit the needs of our members in each district. While the districts will not change, the level of staff support from a regional perspective will be enhanced, with a continued focus on member service and a heightened engagement in Government Affairs and Industrial Relations

With these strategic changes, our members can expect the highest level of service possible from AGC. This is a great organization, with a strong legacy and a bright future. We look forward to continuing to work together to advance the construction industry.
