Safety & Health

The Safety & Health Council

The AGC of California Safety & Health Council exists to promote Safety as a core value in the construction industry. We serve the needs of our AGC Membership and surrounding community as a technical and informational network and an innovative, educational resource.  It's purpose is:

  • To be an open forum to exchange ideas.
  • To be an entry vehicle into AGC to promote safety & health.
  • To foster a strong network.
  • To create and promote industry best practices.
  • To discuss the most important legislative and regulatory issues that impact construction workforce safety and provide feedback to AGC leadership.

The Safety & Health Council (SHC) functions as a forum in which members can network, and exchange ideas about construction industry safety and health practices. The Safety & Health Council is open to all interested AGC members. The Council is governed by a steering committee of AGC members. Steering committee membership rotates on a regular two-year basis. SHC members pay an annual committee dues fee of $175, this covers the SHC member’s registration for the quarterly SHC events.
